Thank you for helping us make some magic.

Saturday was one of those days that reminded me why this community is so special.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Rona's birthday with us at our third annual Rona's Rockin' Memorial Toy Drive. We shared cake, caught up with old friends, met new ones, and, most importantly, collected toys and books that will help to bring the magic of language and communication to children at Maria Fareri's Cochlear Impact Lab.

During the event, I asked our friends and family to describe Rona in one word. Here is a short video of their replies. There wasn't much debate. The words that came up over and over again were sparkly and magical.

I think that's exactly what yesterday felt like. Watch the video by clicking the image above.

Whether you brought a toy, helped spread the word, or simply showed up, thank you. Every act of kindness matters.

If you weren't able to join us, there's still time to participate. There are only a couple of items left (you all are amazing!), and you can find the team's wish list and donation information here.

If toys aren't your thing but you'd still like to help, financial gifts allow us to support programs like our annual toy drive, our Resource Directory, educational initiatives, and other projects that help children and families experience a little more joy, understanding, and agency during difficult medical journeys. You can make a gift here.

Thank you for continuing to help us build a world where we balance the magic of science with the magic of living.
